I'm considering a 9mm Kel-Tec 2000 for a truck gun to match my soon to have glock17. My concern is, will a Kel-Tec chamber a 124gr flat nose bullet such as XTP, hap, or Berry's flat nose target. I learned the hard way that many AR barrels won't pass the plunk test, and don't want to go through that again.
Is anybody using any rounds similar in their Kel-Tec?

You might head over to KTOG and ask - they have a pretty good knowledge base.

That said, I have shot all kinds of ammo through mine and have never had a problem with anything. It eats all I have and keeps going strong. If your OAL is no greater than 9mm spec (1.169, as I recollect), you should be fine. Kel Tec made that little rifle to shoot pretty much anything other than aluminum-cased ammo.

Mine also-feeds most anything. The sub 2000 is super cool and "truck gun" is a great application. As a range toy or hunting/defense arm the Beretta Storm carbine is worlds better both in accuracy and ergonomics.

Went to the KTOG site and found several that are shooting XTP bullets, so I guess I'm good to go with the Kel Tec.
I load XTP at 1.100 oal but the flat point and long bearing surface can be a problem in some guns.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
