I've read about receivers cracking, but mine has been 100%
Another complaint I hear is that they feel flimsy and if you beat someone with it, it might break.
Personally, I've never had to beat anybody with a rifle, and if it comes to that I won't care if it breaks.
If I have to go into combat, I'm betting somebody will hand me a tougher rifle.
They are a Sport Utility Fun gun, good at what they do, light weight and kinda cool.
If you are planning on using it for target practice. home defense or varmint control, they are good.

neat design, super lightweight, reliable enough, more durable than you will ever probably need. But man do they feel cheap.

I have 5500 rounds thru my 16C. For light use; plinking, varmint control, home defense it is great. It's strengths are that it is short, light, and takes GI mags.

Supposedly the documentation states a life time of 5k rounds. People on various boards have shot past that and they are still going strong.

My brother sent his back twice for chips and cracks. It felt low end and cheap. Real turn-off for me. When I see one it's always over priced. With that said I can't think of any other rifle that compact in a 5.56.
