Anyone know anything about suppressors from a "Keystone Armory"? Or maybe Keystone Machine Works. There is about zero info on this company online, though there is a gun shop in PA with a similar name.

I've spotted them in two local shops recently. Apparently they are an Oklahoma company that has had a salesperson driving around north Texas hitting up gun stores. They have two versions, one aluminum and one stainless, both monocore. The prices are around $200 and $280. They claim:

*Lifetime Warranty
*109 Db rating
*Rated for 22 S/L/LR, 22 Mag, 17 HMR, and 5.7x28
*Graphite Black, Magpul FDE, FDE, or ODG tube color

That DB rating bugs me for two reasons, even ignoring the fact that it is backwards (should show the claimed reduction as negative db). It doesn't tell you what the starting point was (109db from a bolt gun is different than from an sr22) and it is a full 3db lower than I can remember anyone else claiming.

Only video I have found: https://youtu.be/2C7ttCNI3lw

The store employees are of course acting like they are the next sparrow but that probably means the shops are getting a good markup.

Thoughts? I've decided I want more than one rimfire can, and if this is a good deal because they are just making a name for themselves I'd take the risk...but sometimes there is a back story......

Dealership is Tyler had a couple. It had a first round pop, and i wasnt super impressed with the performance, but it seemed well built.

I bought one for $190 from darcops armory. I will update when it arrives and my stamp clears. From what I hear the biggest things are the threaded end cap is what is serialized so when they roll out upgrades or parts need to be replaced it's a simple process no longer needing additional $200s. Also they are 5.7mm rated as well as the supposed biggest biggie being 109db rated which we will see.

Keystone Armory

Ed,

I want to let you know that I am a dealer and just received my first order from Keystone Armory. That being said I am also a dealer for SilencerCo, AAC, GemTech, YHM, Sig Sauer and a few others that I am sure I am forgetting. Now that the disclosure is out of the way, we can get down to the good stuff.

Keystone Armory is a division of Keystone Machineworks based out of Sand Springs Oklahoma. They are a CNC machine shop for hire, and have been in the metal removal business for about 100 years according to their website. From what I was told from the sales person, they have been in the silencer manufacturing business for several years as a contract manufacturer for some of the big name companies. They decided that they had a few ideas for can design and wanted to try and make their own instead of watching another company make a profit on their machining skills.

The reason that nobody has heard of them is because they are brand new. I wish that I could tell you why they do not have a website but I can't. From what I can tell the first dealer didn't get his inventory to sell until July 1.

In my opinion, Keystone Armory makes a pretty decent product. I see and sell many different brands but I feel that this manufacturer has something special to offer. I would imagine that lots of other dealers feel the same way otherwise they would not be selling them either. These cans have some great design features and are very well thought out.

If some of the posters on here are seeing them for sale in the $190-$200 range the dealer is not making very much money. I will not tell you what dealer cost is but I will tell you that MSRP for the Aluminum version is $395 and the SS is $450.

I am not sure where the 109 dB number has come from. None of the literature that comes with the cans nor any dealer information has this number. I hope that most understand that there is not a monocore design on the market that does not have First Round Pop (FRP), this can is no different. I do not have the funds available to purchase a dB meter that is capable of reading gunshots but if someone wants to let me borrow theirs or donate one to the cause let me know. In comparison to the sparrow, warlock, and kestrel all are very close in the dB reduction according to my calibrated ear holes. :D The Situator can be shot wet, and that helps significantly with the FRP. I can tell you that the tone of this can is great and helps to make it sound very quiet.

I will be recording a video and hope to have it edited and on Youtube by tonight. If you have any questions please let me know and I will try and get you an answer.
