Well, the Kimber Classic 84M has been out awhile - long enough to get new model production bugs out. So, how's it doing now? There were some rough spots at first, with the online community reporting feeding problems, gritty feeling bolts, hard to operate safeties, etc.

I guess there are really two parts to the question. Those who had the early problems: are they fixed? Those who've bought more recently: are they fixed? :D

This is such a great concept - a "factory" rifle that weighs under six pounds, a great looking stock, and, potentially, great accuracy from a "target" barrel and chamber. The concept doesn't get bullets on target, though - the implementation does. So...how are they doing?

Nah, the Ruger 77 RL continues to serve all my shooting needs. I think of it as hiring a younger maid to help with the housework. As long as you're doing that, you might was well make sure she looks good in a maid outfit. :D

Come on, people! Surely, somebody has heard something!

I was just wondering about this as well. My father-in-law was talking about getting one the other day.

I don't have any first hand experience with them, but I do know a guy that bought 3 of them after shooting his first he was so impressed.

I had one of the first ones...ugly.

It must be noted however, that Kimber did everything possible to make it right. I sold it to a friend that was willing to take his chances. He seems satisfied. Honestly, I was simply exhausted from the entire experience.

I now own a Remington 7 SS in 7-08. No problems AT ALL.
