Doing the insurance workup I needed a price for a CZ52 in 9 MM. Shiny slide to make it look civilian. Take a shot at what it's worth if you don't mind. I'm at the guessing stage myself. Oh, it's like new I may have fired it 10 time IMG_1652.JPG s.

Rare and valuable can be mutually exclusive, some things are hard to find but if they're not popular they're not worth much. CZ52 have been selling cheap through places like AIM Surplus for years. You can check if any have sold on gunbroker recently, that'll give you an idea of market value. Don't bother looking at the for sale ads, what people are asking doesn't mean anything. You can google it, too.

First, do you have firearms-specific coverage on your policy, or are there any exemptions they may fall into? My homeowners insurance is quite up front about excluding valuable collections like art, firearms, etc.

I used to carry a separate firearms insurance policy through Lockton, then later I decided to put the same money toward proactive protection against fire and theft.

Second, if your firearms are covered, is it full replacement cost coverage? In that case, bump up the values to include the LGS percentage and applicable taxes -- you'll want to cite the current "out the door" prices.

When I decided to end my CZ-52 phase, I netted around $500 apiece for mine, and that was during the pre-pandemic Trump era before prices went loopy. The 9x19 barrels are a plus provided they are extras -- a collector will want the original 7.62x25 Tok barrels. I'm seeing prices for TT-33s and their clones starting somewhere around $400.

For insurance, I'd suggest putting down $800 for the CZ and $625 for the Chinese as their full replacement value, including spare mags, holsters, etc.

One for sale in local shop for 400. Has holster and 1 mag. Looks nice.

In 1997, I dropped US$150 for a CZ52 with a factory 9x19 barrel. In 2009, it sold, with a 7.62x25 barrel, for all of US$250, and was lucky to get that.

Now, this was a straight-up Czech-built '52, and not one of the various replicas out there. There are a lot of CZ52 platforms out there. Despite how many were made (and imported) they are not that common for sale for some reason.

Are you thinking of a CZ 75? I don't think anyone else made a 52 clone.
