A year ago, I moved from Ohio to Tennessee. In Ohio, I was a member of a great outdoor range where I could shoot anything I wanted. Here in Tennessee, I have a great indoor range 3/4 of a mile from my house. However, I can't shoot black powder there, and the nearest outdoor range is an hour away.

I recently picked up a Kirst .22 conversion for my Goonerized 1851 Navy

I had a little issue when I first received it. Goon's Gun Works creates a very tight barrel to cylinder gap. When I put the Kirst barrel insert on, it was too tight to cycle the action. I put a piece of fine sandpaper on the work bench and worked the breech end of the insert over it until it had enough clearance to function.

I've had it out to the range a couple times, works like a charm. It's not the same as burning black powder, but it allows me to get more frequent trigger time on my Navy.
