I have the pleasure to announce the latest offering from Kirst Konversions. The first ever 45acp for an open top revolver!! Here is a pic of the first revolver to fire the 45acp!! A Cimarron sourced Uberti with a silver plated trigger guard. I call it "Beauty and the Beast"!

Nice! I may have to add one to my ACP revolver collection.

Will this be a catalog item or special order?

Dont get me wrong, this is very cool and ingenious....but the 1860 loses alot of its cosmetic appeal (for me) without the rammer and I would be worried about frame and base pin longevity firing a steady diet of ACPs.

Nonetheless, as a mechanical achievement, it noteworthy and well executed. Cant wait for the range report.:)

I totally understand. I'm the same way ( somewhat) with the Remington loosing the loading lever "sail" with an ejector.
To your point though, the revolver pictured had a trip to the range ( which is why I was able to announce it) and after 50 rounds of factory 230 gr. FMJ, it came home with the same specs that it went to the range with. A corrected arbor length which gives me a tight .002" barrel/cyl clearance (endshake) wedge driven in. It actually had less recoil than its sister (consecutive ser no) in 45C.
I'll be shooting some "full speed" 230 gr lead rounds probably Monday/Tuesday and will update.

This revolver has had a lot done to it because it's mine ( I'll fill in details later) but these conversions should be fine in any "reasonably sound" revolver.

I disagree. The 1860 Richards Type I and Type II conversions are some of the most aesthetically pleasing sixguns ever produced.

My wife says any day I do not get the words of a song wrong is a day the world might end.

Now it has been said Jerry Lee and Elvis were cousins….. well ancestry.com said Elvis was my fifth Cousin once removed so I must be a tiny bit kin to Jerry Lee as well!

ELVIS IS EVERY WHERE!

I used to sing Johnny Cash songs at the bar across from the dirt track in the 70's after racing too but he never claimed me!

Jerry Lee Lewis and Mickey Gilley were cousins. Learned to play on the same piano and often played and sang together when younger.
