Say...for a Tokarev T-33 to be converted to 9mm Luger, or, .38 Super?

Will the original Magazines still abide?

You have to make sure the TOK you are converting has the longer mag well for 38sup conv. The chicoms mods for 9mm was either shorten the mag well or add a spacer to the mag to fill up the hole. I do not know if the mag spacer is removable. I had the long mag well with short mags in 9mm. I super-glued modified toothbrush handles to the back of the mags and it worked well.

Because he wants to. Good enough reason for anybody.

I suppose. I just don't get it. The whole point of owning a tokarev, imo, is that you get to use cheap ass milsurp ammo... and that you get a gun chambered in the little hot-rod 7.62x25. (for those who doubt the penetration of the 7.62x25, check out the boxoftruth article showing that a .45 and a full bore .357 couldn't penetrate a kevlar helmet, yet a 7.62x25 went right through).

Converting it to 9mm ruins both of those advantages.

need to make sure to get 9mm Tok mags, get the wide ones, that way if you get tired of the 9mm you can take the spacer out and use them again for 7.62x25 and then change the barrel out. I had a 9mm tok for awhile and enjoyed, though, true enough the ammo is more expensive

You can run 9mm thru the longer 7.62 mags. They flop around in there but feed fine. I had to modify my barrel bushing inside diameter to accommodate the slightly bigger outside diameter of the 9mm barrel.
