Ya' mean the pegboard, spinning display rack that says "see all the knives I have...so I know what I'm talking about!"? Okay, I see 'em, but I still can't tell which ones have serrations.

Why do knife afficiandos never have good things to say about serrations on knife blad

Because they never have to use a knife to cut slippery, wet synthetic rope.

Buck, Gerber? well the newer 420 steel Bucks are not the Bucks of 1980 and before that's for sure. My older 110's with 440C are pretty good stuff. I have a 110 sized Gerber folder, except thinner, that is a early one too, made with Solingen steel. It hasn't near the edge holding quality of the older Bucks. No better than it will hold a edge I never bought another. Having not owned a newer Gerber than the one I have from the early 70's and with what Buck is making today I have no idea what's the better of the two. I doubt I would buy either if I needed a new hunting knife unless I had one made in Bucks custom shop.

I know we have some real knowledgeable guys here so what is a good folder made nowadays that has a handle big enough to grip good, strong enough to split a older deer or young elk's brisket, made with a better edge holding ability than this old 110? I just might be interested if one's available and is a bit lighter than what I have been carrying in my front pocket for hunting the last 30 or so years.
Oh, let me add that doesn't cost a arm and a leg.
