I had planned on coming to this one but have to take the wife and kids to Florida for spring break. It sucks I know but what can I do. Hopefully I can make it in October
 
I am going to be there if i can manage. Now, as to shooting something......i want to. (depends on how much it will be to shoot...)

From what I know (I have not been there yet, but have talked to a guy who has), it would be $30-50 to rent something full auto. I assume that includes the cost of ammo (one magazine, perhaps?).

I'm pretty low on paper at the moment: I'm looking for ammo by the case more than anything else, I have enough guns for now. But it would certainly be interesting to go up in the Cayuse and let 'er rip with an M60. :D
 
I'm trying to work it to go. The usual problem $$$. I haven't been to the shoot for about 3 years. Get their around breakfast so you get good parking, else you my walk farther than you would like.

That's one thing I'm worried about, too. It's a hundred miles for me - which would mean I need to be there early as hell to get a decent parking spot because it isn't enough distance to warrant a hotel stay or a campsite.

I would be worried about buying a skid of ammo, and only then wondering how I'm going to get it back to my car. :p
 
new here, 1st post

I am wanting to go, (wife is against it) so I am thinking that If i can get her dad to go with me it would be ok.

Will it be effected by the price of ammo? I may change my mind on going if its not going to be a very good show

As far as I know, most of these guys stacked it deep while it was cheap. That, and the cost of something full auto these days usually means there's money left over for plenty of ammo.

I'm going to be there by 7 or 8 AM on Friday, to check out the fun show.
 
I am going tomorrow, anyone else gonna be there? (maybe we should wear THR shirts, take a white T-shirt, a few colored markers and...:D:neener: jk lol)
 
I go most years, its about 30 min. from me. Its a great time! i recommend the night shoot. its a must see!
 
Okay. Just got home. I don't really know how to describe the sheer pure awesomeness of that thing. (it is not any regular gun show..!) I won't even try...

Oh, lamebums, i saw about 30 people with oversized sunglasses, which one were you? (and did you shoot?)

See me?:D I was the only one with a orange backpack! Kinda suprised.

I lost those sunglasses when the quad (yes, the quad, not the cars) got stuck in the mud, and all of us getting a free ride had to get out and push. I never did find them. I miss them already.

I didn't shoot. I spent all of my money on ammo and other goodies, nothing left to go up to the range. ;)

Edit: As a heads up, you need 4x4 this year. I had to use the bobcat to get my car out of there earlier.
 
I parked my car so close that i was able to get out with just someone helping push. Wait, were you by the campgrounds with the quad? I saw one get stuck....didn't see who was on it though.

I like that M16 with the 203, didn't see it though:( Thought i had gone through all the vendors. I did manage to get some cartridge casings for my collection....
 
I was there at 11:00 am and had a great parking spot in the mud (glad I have a 4x4).I Had a purple cast on and came home with a couple guns and brass.:neener:
 
I was out of $, so depressing with all those really good deals around. It is like the craze didn't exist, there were complete AR lowers for what it was 10 months ago! (although, i say some people carrying a half doxen or more uppers going out, wonder what they were doin with um...)

If it was a guy wearing an orange hat and two older guys, then it was probably me.

I loaded up on ammo, ammo, and more ammo. I had to hire a mule. :p
