So i was thinking of getting the recoil reducing knoxx stock for my Hawk 982 and i was wondering if the remington one fits. Anyone done this?

Beware that if you plan on shooting with your face on the stock the knoxx stock will, and i mean WILL, smack you in the face. the stock is designed to move and your face is not supposed to be within 1 inch of it.

Well, I've only been hit once by the Compstock on my 590, and that was the first magazine tube I fired through the gun.

As long as you have a good cheek weld on it, it's all good.

Is the 982 identical to the Pardner Protector (save for the GHS of course)? If so, then a Rem 870 Knoxx should fit on the 982 since I have one on my Protector. Fits like a glove.

And pay no attention to the second poster, it just means he was using it wrong.
If you get any cheek slap, it means you have it in one notch too close (even says so in the instruction manual). Take it out a notch and you won't get slapped and you'll have a better sight picture. Just the stocks way of telling you that you're doing it wrong.
