About 10 years ago, I did the whole AK-ification thing on a Saiga 7.62x39. I haven’t been paying too much attention since, but remember that Kobra sights were supposedly the ones that made the most honor to glorious Russian motherland. Is that the case? I really just want something that isn’t too American for the rifle.

Also, what the hell happened to AK prices? Sheesh.

AK parts kits were plentiful once upon a time. Today, other armies are snaching them up before American importers can get them. A well made AK sould cost a good bit more then an AR. All machined construction is very costly.

I bought a Kobra sight for my early Romanian AK about 19 years ago. It never held zero, I think because of an incompatibility of the type of rail on the AK. It is a Wum-1. It appears to be high quality. I plan on putting it on eBay soon. You from the KC area?

I have had 2 Kobras, they are the real deal, better than a cheap commercial red dot.
