anyone ever tried kore essentials belts? Really want a belt that has finer adjustments than my hanks and will stand up to the weight of a G19 and spare magazine owb. Nylon won’t do for my job so I need leather.

Also open to other options too.

Thanks!!!

I have 2 KORE belts and they are the only belts I use for carrying a firearm. They just came out with the nylon belts, and I used that in place of a duty belt at work with no issues.

I had one and got rid of it. Don't know if it was my gut or what, but after wearing it for awhile the bottom half of the buckle started pulling on and enlarging the holes made by the teeth that dig in to attach the buckle. I tried cutting off a half inch or so and resetting the buckle and it did the same thing. The guy I sold it to is very happy with it, so it may just be my body shape that didn't agree with it. Also, in KORE's defense I never contacted them about it, I'm sure they could have helped me out or figured out the issue but by that time I'd bought a Daltech Force SuperBio belt that I liked so it wasn't worth the trouble for me.

As negative as that sounded, though, if you want fine adjustments there's no better option IMO. If it weren't for the issue mine had, it would have been my favorite belt for that reason.

I had the same problem with my leather KORE belt for a little while. And I believe it had something to do with the older leather belt designs. My belt developed a very small tear in the leather near the end within the first year I wore it. Didn't effect functionality at all. I used the tear to test KORE warranty. I told them about the tear and they sent a new belt (minus) buckle for free. After switching to the new leather they sent me, the teeth have stayed put every day.

Got several of these after exhausting my options with the various nylon commanders belts, etc (look for coupon codes or wait for a sale and pile on):

I have several of these as well, a little cheaper but also very good:

I currently have black and brown hanks belts. The brown one was my daily belt for about 5 years. It’s now limp and doesn’t stand up to the weight of a pistol. The black one is a lot better as far as stiffness goes but finding a good hole to clip into is hard and varies a lot based on what I’m carrying, and if I’m being honest, what I’ve eaten. Inifinite adjustment or minimal adjustment belts are really appealing to me because of that.

except that slide-lock or D-ring belts tend to loosen with activity so you have to continually adjust your belt (if you can during the activity).

I've had a Kore belt for a while, now, and it seems to have held up pretty well carrying the weight of a G19 and spare magazine. I really like the extra adjustment that it affords over my custom and much, much sturdier leather/kydex belt (that I've ... err... outgrown).

I’ve had my Kore belts for a couple of weeks. I got the nylon for everyday wear and the brown leather gun belt for nicer casual. I find them both to be excellent, more comfortable than my crossbreed belt and much less bulky, but very stiff and strong. I have not experienced any slippage of the trakbelt adjuster. I’m sold so far...

One note: be sure to get the Kore “gun belt” as they make other belts that are not as heavy duty.

I have their EDC belt , the ratchet system is the best . You will never be able to adjust the normal belt system with holes like you can with the 1/4" ratchet system. Great Belt , that's all I wear now .

I bought the Kore belts some years ago and after using the ratchet system, never once looked back to going the old way. One of the best belts for carry to come along in a long time. In fact was doing review on their years ago, telling folks how well they worked.
