I'm told the front-sight internals are the same, but they have eliminated the aft set-screw and machined a shoulder to allow installation of a jam nut.

RLP (Red Lion Precision) has designed a replacement front sight for the Gen2 Sub2000 ;)

After debating over the new front sight that was redesigned by KelTec or the RLP R12, I've decided to purchase the R12. Will post pics when it arrives....

Ferdi, I used the spring kit from MCarbo and the wicked skeltonized trigger from Performance Services on my Gen 2, primarily because I have large hands & shoot with gloves on occasion.
There are several manufacturers offering replacement triggers and I would suggest you take some time to search thru them to choose the best one to suit your needs. ;)
KelTec also has introduced two new triggers ~ one for their production of carbines and another for competitive shooting.

Nice pic of your Gen 2 :) AoG

RLP (Red Lion Precision) has designed a replacement front sight for the Gen2 Sub2000 ;)....

It folds. And has a windage adjustment. And it's far superior to the OEM sight on the Gen 2. To adjust windage - place the sight tool (included) in the 4 holes on the face of the windage knob or use a dime on the opposite side in the windage screw head. Windage knob is marked for bullet impact adjustment direction. Elevation is a standard AR15 A2 sight post: place sight tool in the 4 half-moons of the sight post and depress the detent to turn the post. Turn clockwise to raise the bullet impact and counter-clockwise to lower bullet impact. Each windage click is 0.67" @ 100 yards. Each elevation click is 1.72" @ 100 yards.

The real improvement is that we won"t have to rely on the pivot block in the OEM sight, which many of us have found to wander somewhat during use.

FoldNewSight.jpg (click on image to expand) FOLDS EASILY :p

Additionally, RLP has designed a recess to accommodate the muzzle device timing nut, which when indexed your can QD ~ performs far better than the OEM jam nut that is on the second-revised replacement front sight. The design has also relieved any direct contact from can to front sight, a real problem that was outlined in the Nut'n Fancy test performed earlier this year.

Finally, the new sight has a pair of bottom screw posts which firmly clamp the threaded body to barrel, along with a setscrew aft.
IMO, this should completely eliminate the dreaded sight rotation issue for our favorite subbie. **:D:) **

..."The BDMP’s unique open-front design...Have a couple ordered; I'm interested in mounting 2 to the stock.
After several e-mail exchanges with the vendor, it was apparent that the BDMP's were not going to be shipped, so I cancelled this order & placed another with YRS, Inc. in Nevada. Should be here soon.

Tactical Link is a new (to me) supplier in Kansas that I stumbled-upon recently. Fishin' around on their site, I noticed a small QD sling mount which might fit the bottom rail on the Gen 2 stock.

Her's the left and right view connected to an MS-3 sling QD.

Bottom-up look ~ stainless cup w/steel & polymer construction. A little trimming and filing near the butt is necessary for installation.

Reinstalled the Magpul pad, after a little trim & filing

Now to figure-out a way to mount it. Any suggestions are welcome......

Performance Services has accessories for the S2K-G2 ~ my most recent purchase was the Combat Aperture flip-up rear sight. :what:

The older I get, the eyes don't focus as well as in the past.

The workmanship is superb and Todd uses high-quality materials in all of his manufactured items.

Found a 5-position CAA foregrip that can be offset mounted. My thoughts were to get it positioned on the same axis as the RDS.

The GG&G 45 degree offset fits well on the lower pic rail and affords just the right amount of clearance :D

Just the right size for my left meathook :what:
AoG Happy 4th of July to all

MCarbo has introduced several new and innovative parts/upgrades for the Gen2 SUB2000.

If you've ever disassembled the grip halves, you've noticed that the pins were aluminum.
The upgraded carbon steel grip pins & screws will be a good addition, especially with a bit of
blue Loctite to secure 'em. Secondly, the skeletonized charging handle reduces the total weight
of the bolt assembly ~ especially if you run the heavy brass bolt, as I do.

Merry Christmas to all here @ THR :D AoG
