looks good Art, thanks for the pictures....let us know how it works at the range.
Captains1911-
I read your thread on ktog about your optic setup(
http://www.thektog.org/forum/f85/offset-mount-red-dot-264294/index3.html) and I see you ran into some difficulty getting the thing sighted in....just wanted to add my 2 cents.
first things first, I'm sure I'm missing something here, but I'm not sure why an offset/canted mount would make things more difficult. surely there is a way to secure your sub2000 in such a manner that your RDS is sitting in the center 12 o'clock position while you're sighting the gun in? As you've already mentioned, this will create some issues when you attempt to make windage adjustments or something, but that seems like an acceptable trade off with a relatively short-ranged gun like the sub2000.
also in regards to the fit of any mounts....I've noticed the handguard on my sub does have a very very minor amount of play in it, but you have to really manhandle the thing to detect it...plus its polymer. If this is creating issues with zeroing in optics, I really need to consider just saving up for a Red Lion indexing rail.
please let us know how it works out...I will be purchasing my optic setup fairly soon and was going to use the same MI offset etc.
Thanks
