Last week I traded a new Zeiss Conquest 4.5X14 mil dot for a 3.2X17 U S Optics plus 1K. I shipped the Zeiss by UPS, I had UPS pack the scope and took 2K insurance on it.
When the Zeiss arrived at the destination it had been damaged. Somewhere along the line someone had dropped a steel object on the aluminum scope bending on of the turrets.
The fellow arfcommer who bought it called Zeiss and to his and my surprise they said that they would fix the scope for nothing. I went to UPS and the manager had packed the scope himself before sending it and he was quite nice and told me exactly how to have UPS pay for it.
This morning the fellow who bought it let me know that Zeiss had decided that since the parts for that scope are made anymore that they would allow the guy who purchased it from me to pick one of the new $1200 Zeiss scopes of his choice for nothing. That folks is customer service.
