As some of the Louisville locals know, police shootings have been a hot topic around this area lately.

Without going into details, everybody has been on TV with their ideas on how to solve the problem.

Tonight on the local news I saw the most ridiculous and potentially most dangerous one.

Reporter John Boel: "Saying, 'enough is enough,' state Rep. Tom Riner has introduced a bill to establish new standards for the use of lethal force, including limiting officers to two shots, and only allowing them to shoot if they're under fire.

Riner, D-Louisville: "Many people have the idea that if someone uses a firearm in a law enforcement situation, they'll try to wound you, they will not try to kill. But the state manuals say when you shoot, you shoot to body mass, you shoot to kill and release every round in the gun."

As you can guess the FOP and CCW community are not thrilled with this logic.

Someone PLEASE take this bliss-ninny "servant of the people" to a combat handgun, or force-on-force training.

He'll shut his pie-hole real quick when gets a taste of the real world vs. the Hollywood crap.
