How good a double are the L.C. Smith's made by Marlin in the 1968 range? A friend has the chance to purchase one and is looking for a ballpark price for one in 90% up condition. I did find one on GB for a starting bid of $1000.00 but have no idea if this is a average price or not. I can remember seeing the ad's in Marlin catalogs in the early 70's but have never seen one of these in person over the years. Like to hear any info anyone has to share. Thanks!
