Was looking at a neighbors gun that some one had 'fixed' for him,and the hammer has no spring power to drive it forward. The spring is in there,a flat one,but it's in wrong I'm thinking.
There is a notch in the lower part of the hammer that looks like maybe the flat srping hooks into?

WE tried to drive out the hammer and spring retaining pins but they weren't budging...need to hit HARD or is ther a secret to their removal?

If someone could step me thur this I"d reall apreciate it.
Thanks!!

The hammer and trigger pins are secured by a flat retaining plate on the right side of the receiver. The retainer is secured at the rear by the selector.

First, flip the selector up past "Safe" so that it's vertical. Pull it straight out from the lower receiver.

Next, rotate the retainer upwards from the rear (where the shaft of the selector passed through). You should easily be able to remove the hammer and trigger pins.

The strut for the hammer spring fits into that recess in the hammer. The pointed rear of the spring housing fits into a rounded dimple in the lower.

I'll try to get a picture up.

Loads of pics of the trigger disassembly in this thread over at falfiles.com - you'll need to register to see them, unfortunately (due to massive amounts of spammers trying to get in) but it's free and well-worth it.
