Last month I went trap shooting for the first time. Simply put, I LOVED it.
I purchased a Mossberg 500 for the task and it performed quite well. My best string was 18 out of 25. I won't tell you what my worst was However, I did end up with a nice lump under my right eye. One of the more experienced shooters there informed me that I was putting my face too close to the stock.
Anyway, I now find myself wanting to purchase an O/U to try my hand at sporting clays. CDNN has the Lanber 85 for $300. Is that a good O/U beginner gun? How does it compare to the cheaper EAAs at CDNN?
Or should I spend some extra cash to get something of better quality? I am 6'2", 260# and my arms are fairly long. A few of the guys at the shoot told me I may have problems finding an off-the-shelf gun that fits me properly.
