I have never used a laser or a light,is this correct the laser of course just a small red dot but wouldnt the light kinda be larger like shing a small flash light?

If crimson trace doesnt mae a laser for your specific gun and your gun has no rail,do you have any options?

Revolver never have rails do they? Thanks

Yes, the laser is a little red (or green, or IR) dot on your target, preferably zeroed for POI at some reasonable distance for your firearm with the self defense ammo of your choice (my 1 7/8" barrel J-frame is zeroed at 7 yards w/ 135gr Speer Gold Dots, my 4" barrel Glock will be zeroed at 25 yards w/ 180gr Gold Dots).

The light is a regular tactical light, like a Surefire 6P handheld or similar. If you've never used or seen a modern handheld tactical light, think of the brightness of a 4 D-cell Maglight in a much smaller package.

If Crimson Trace, Lasermax, or one of the other manufacturers don't make a laser for your weapon and your weapon does not have a rail, you may be able to add one to it. Several manufacturers make add-on rails for rifles, shotguns, and some handguns.

And yes, some revolvers do have rails, though they're not as common as on semi-autos.

The DVD will answer many of your questions about gun mounted lasers and their proper use.

Here is an option if, as I did, want to keep the orginal wood grips because their purry, but wanted a laser. Internal Lasermax....have 1000 rds + through with zero problems.

The small button on the housing under the slide is the on and off switch...can be engaged from either side.
