What's the last rifle kill you have on your phone camera or computer? a645245cedf9ff3472ad1ce04043cbc4.jpg

My trusty encore with a 209. 50 cal. Slinging 250 grain sst pushed by trip 7 x2. Shot was 90 yards thru a little hole in the brush.

A coyote I got opening deer last fall. My son (behind me in the pic) shot the doe. Both got with .223's: Mine with my Axis and my loads, his with his Sportical and my loads.

Don't have my phone with me (overseas) but its a nice doe taken with a Mossberg MVP ranch 223 with Hornady 75 gr BTHPM. DRT at 96 yards.

I killed this one about an hour after I told my wife I wasn't gonna kill any more this year..I had already killed several, including a scrub buck earlier the same day,but right before dark I looked out the window, and saw this 10 pt,and couldn't resist it..I killed it with an 87 grain Hot-cor. I got this guy right at the end of opening day. I had been hunting all day, and was walking back to the truck. As I dropped into a ravine, I looked to my right and saw this buck and 4 does looking my direction at about 60 yds. They knew something was there, but hadn't figured out what I was just yet, so I had a couple seconds to pull up and take a shot in a gap in the branches between us.

He gave me a bit of of a scare because after the rifle settled back down, none of the deer were in sight, but I could hear them running in all directions, and I didn't have a whole lot of daylight left for tracking. I wound up finding him about 30 yds away, over the crest of a hill, just out of sight.

Rifle: Tikka Superlite .270 Win
Load: 140 gr Accubond over IMR7977 @ 2930 fps

I don't have any on my phone. Last few deer have been with handguns, and the only other thing I use a rifle on (typically) is squirrel or odd varmints.

Got this little mule deer at very last light opening day last October. I covered over seven miles and about 800' of vertical gain on USFS land. Shot him way up the mountain and had a couple hour job to get him back to the truck.

Small in the horns, but a 2 1/2 year old with a lot of good meat. 9,000' elevation makes for delicious grass fed deer.

Sako A7 30-06 with 180g SST handloads. Shot was about 80 yards at a steep uphill angle. DRT even though the bullet deflected some. Switching to 180g Accubonds this year.

Last Friday morning my neighbor from just down the road called and said the wild hogs were back and tearing up his back yard again. He doesn't own a gun. So I grabbed my Browning BLR in 7mm-08 and rushed over there. There was a herd of about eight about 100 yards from the house. I could have shot one of the bigger ones, but figured this one would make better eating.

Two 180 boars taken in TX last month, rifle was a Sako Finnbear in .30-'06, 150 gr. bullet. I thought it would be too much gun but it wasn't.

Mine was this doe I got with my CVA Optima Elite. It was the farthest I've ever shot a deer with a muzzleloader at just over 150 yds. The load was a 295 grain Powerbelt hollow point and 80 grains of loose Pyrodex.

Didn't have a great season, but did manage to put this girl in the freezer on opening day of muzzleloader season so I won't complain too much.

162&5/8" B&C Shiras Moose shot with my .375H&H at 269 yards, 270 Gr Barnes TSX. Once in a lifetime tag took 17 or so years to draw it. 150" makes the book, I'd rather be lucky than good.

Shot this boy 3 weeks ago. Had a mate down from Norway a couple of weeks before and he shot his first boar A 50kg late yearling. My one was 65-70kg. So now the freezer is full for a while.

My only and last deer of last season was shot with my AR-15 in 7mm Valkyrie. She was shot at 117 yards and went less than five feet.

Nice, I didn't know they had wild boar in Sweden.

Yep more and more boar every year. In Sweden more boar are shot than moose. Just for the intresse klubben, Sweden has the tightest moose population in the world . Around here about 7 moose per thousand hectares.
I shoot about 6 boar a year on my place just for my own freezer. There will never be the huge boar population around where i live as its just pine forest with very little agriculture. Boar are a growing problem in the south and in other agricultural area's.

Nice Moose and nice Rifle! Looks like you have Weaver rings on that rifle. I like the Weaver rings & bases. I can really mount a scope low to the bore using them.

Some folks don't like them for various reason...usually because not the latest fad I think.

I've always liked them and never had a problem. Obviously they work well for you on that .375 H&H. :)

Eggzachery on the low mounting issue. They are the factory lowest rings I've ever found. Those exact rings have been on this rifle for 20+ years and I've never had the first problem with them staying glued and solid.
