Last year for Smith and Wesson nickel plate?

The thread title says it.

Just picked-up a 15-3 in nickel plate, vintage 1977 (11Kxxxx) and was curious about when Smith stopped selling nickel plated revolvers.
 
By the end of 1992 almost all nickel S&W revolvers were gone.
I think there might have been a few of the Model 37 Airweight Chief's Special guns made in satin nickel after that. But bright nickel was gone.
 
By 1992-1994 it was about it. I like nickel but no one else does it seems. Stainless steel took over the role of nickel and I heard the EPA is very tough on those producing a nickel finish. A nickel S&W which is not peeling is a thing of beauty but then again I like "pimp guns!"
