Stop the Senate’s Attempt to Restrict Ammo Sales​ ​ S.3223 imposes severe, unconstitutional restrictions and penalties on both buyers and sellers of ammunition. S.3223 makes it harder for citizens to buy ammo by forcing them to jump through the same hoops required for buying a firearm. And, in an obvious attempt to effectively force small retailers to stop selling ammunition, S.3223 makes any retailer who sells ammunition subject to warrantless searches, extensive paperwork, record keeping and possible monetary and legal penalties.​

CASE OF THE WEEK WHITE v. COX Massachusetts law prohibits the issuance of a firearms license before the State Police complete a background check based on an applicant’s fingerprints. For individuals residing in Boston, after an application is submitted to the Boston Police Department, the Department’s Licensing Unit makes them wait for many month before they are provided with an appointment to have their fingerprints taken.
