Laugo Arms Alien Creator

I just picked this pistol up. The Creator is a new Alien model specifically for the US market. The grip angle is that of a 1`911, which the original Alien was not.

The Creator also allows for interchangeable front end back straps, along with grip panels. The grip panels that come on the gun are carbon fiber, which is marbleized (display grips). However, it also comes with a set of G10 panels for better traction when shooting. The color is a unique blend of dark gray for the slide and frame, with an OD aluminum grip frame and rose gold accents. I actually really like the combination, but I know its not for everyone.

Build quality and everything about the gun and accessories is top notch. Its as good or better than darn near anything on the market. The precision in which the parts are machined and the overall fit and finish is "out of this world", no pun intended. It comes with an optic top rail, as well as open sights, three magazines, a holster, tools, lube, two magwells (large and small), the extra G10 grips, and an extra backstrap.

Price of the Creator is $7000.

Very nice! When they first were released I overlooked them as I hadn’t realized how different their design is. From what I understand they use a similar type of system as the H&K P7, except that the mechanism is on top of the barrel. I imagine that they must be very flat-shooting! Do you have a preference between the grip angles?

I shot an Alien once, I haven't researched why, but recoil wise in 9mm, it's like shooting a .22lr. They are amazing guns, as they should be for the price. I've thought about buying one, but a $5k+ pistol is a line I can't cross. Good for you being happy with spending that. If you're ever in AZ I'd love to check yours out though!

I do prefer the Creator’s grip angle. I’m a 1911/2011 guy, so it works out well for me.

$7,000? Nope. My regular carry sidearm didn't cost $700. That one will stay made of Unobtanium for me.

Alien guns are really nice guns to shoot. A friend of mine had one at the range and it had a 1.5lb trigger. He was shooting 1" dia holes with it at 7yds on every target with no fliers at all.
They are different, that's for sure. I think he did some work on the trigger though.
He builds AR's and custom pistols for a living, he also way out of my price range.
