the attacker repeatedly poked his gun hand around both sides of a ~10" dia tree trunk, literally almost making contact with the lawyer's arms before firing at the peak of each thrust. A tree trunk that the lawyer had both hands resting against. I can't imagine a BETTER scenario for making a solid two-handed attempt to grab and control the gunhand, and even better, dragging the assailant face-first into the tree.
And is doesn't require any "ninja" skills. What nonsense.

Surely you mean hollow-base wadcutters.

Which work quite well over a moderate charge. In fact a heavy charge will cause them to keyhole.

But I do know for a fact that when fired from a snubnose S&W they will penetrate a down jacket and t-shirt and still mushroon VERY well in human tissue.
