Are lead bullets safe to load if they have no lube in the groove? I recently received a large order from Missouri Bullet and so far I have found 2 bullets with no lube. I am new to lead bullets so I am still learning everything.

Its very common for lead bullets to have the lube knocked off in shipping. Its perfectly safe to load and shoot them. There will be enough lube left in the barrel from the shots before to lube that one on its way out.

Brad has also said before that every box has a few extra bullets to make up for that type of thing, so if you dont load them you still come out even.

There is no reason not to load them though.

An occasional one will not hurt anything.

Each lubed bullet leaves a film in the bore that will lube the next one or two.

Thanks guys. I didn't think it would be the end of the world or anything but it sure looked weird.

In general, bullet lube is applied during the size & lube operation in the same machine.

So you might want to measure the ones without any lube and make sure they got sized.
