Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - - -
- - As always.
I can see
natedog's point, as an aesthetic thing. Don't know I'd feel so strongly about it as to let it "get my goat." I have my own ideas of what looks "Right" and "Wrong," certainly.
I kinda cringe at seeing a deputy in nice slacks, starched shirt, good tie, shined boots, carrying a $600 pistol in an eleven-dollar nylon holster.
I have this personal thing - - If I'm wearing tan boots, tan belt, I just hate to wear my weaponry in a black holster and mag pouch. I have black leather, and tan/brown leather, and at least TRY to dress neatly.
I have a couple of plastic/Kydex holsters, and I have to admit, they sort of go "outside" the color coordination consideration, especially on the rare occasion when I wear a Glock or a stainless pistol.
I rubbed quite a bit of blue off a couple of spots on an old Commander, wearing it in a Fobus holster. When the old piece went into semi retirement, it was replaced by a newer one o' the same, which currently wears ivory stocks. I have decided to wear it in leather only.
Best,
Johnny
