Lee App

New to LEE APP and possibly 3d printing, anyone redesigned and 3d printed a case inserter and dedicated riser for 45 acp brass for the Lee APP, press seems good but changing from large brass to small brass takes some time for height adjustment, looking for faster changeout of calibers.

You mentioned a 3d printer.....fooled me into thinking you were interested.

That was the first thing I did with my APP. And the second, and the third.....each time doing it better. Tyler R has perfected what you are looking for. His posts all have downloads for his 3d printed case and bullet electric collator project at the bottom. A button that says, what else, "downloads"........click that, then look for a green button named "code". Click that, then click the "download Zip" to download his whole project.

Once you have that unzipped, you'll find a long list of 3Dprint files for Collators, and all the parts of collators for every caliber.....and even ball bearing activated bullet feed dies. Now! Amongst that list is a section that says "APP"....number 8. There you will find the most awesome quick change system for your APP.......But beware of 2 things! First.....don't even think about printing and selling what you print.....or someone will come down hard on you, Ammo Mike found that out. Plan on personal stuff just for you....no commercialization.. Second beware......this 3d project of his is flat out addicting:

I have 6 collators printed, 8 feed dies, 8 quick change downtubes for the APP, rifle and pistol, and I even made my RCBS Summit press into an APP, because I could see it becoming another single station press with bullet and case feeders.. So having gone ape **** over 3d printing, thanks to jmorris's encouragement, have even bought a third progressive, a Lee 6Pack, and so have automated case and bullet feeding for every press I have except the old Rock Chucker II.

Here's a link to one of my posts in the CastBoolits 3D printed Collator project started my Ammo Mike, finished by TylerR......which directly refers to APP quick change parts you can print. Page down or up to find one of TylerR's posts where the downloads are available.

Do look at the similar threads below for even more.

I download a video showing Tyler's quickchange in action. Using Lee's tube case feeder. The first part is why I 3d printed electric collators....I hate filling tubes by hand.

In the video TylerR's quickchange has the downtube holder mounted so that you can slide in a .357 down tube, and just as quick pull it out and exchange it with a .308, or .45, or 9mm downtube...or any other caliber. Of course if the case is longer you'll need to replace the case slide with a taller one.

Thanks for the reply, I’m not looking to print and build an electric case feeder, rather improve and streamline processing with some 3d printed upgrades using the Lee Collator and Universal Case feeder that I have.

You mentioned a 3d printer.....fooled me into thinking you were interested.
I’d like to print the updated 4 tube case feeder, case adapters and slider updates, not the electronic build of the case collato, sorry for the confusio.

There's is one version of a new 4-way in Thingyverse.....but it's also 3d printed.......I did tell you that the APP parts are in a section of the downloads and they have nothing to do with electric collators, except that they can be used with them or with Lee's tubes and 4-way. You can download 1 or more files at a time, but I chose to download the whole thing....that way if I decide I need something else to print, it's on my computer.
