Lee Auto-Disk?

One more thing...
The actuating arm edge has a rough finish because it is stamped, and the swivel adaptor has feather burrs because it is cast.
These 2 rough surfaces are the contact points during every powder drop and prevent smooth operation.
I have found that smoothing the edge of the lever arm, radius'ing the contact point on the swivel adaptor, and adding a little lube, the measure operates much smoother.

more bloviation,
Edit: A new Lee Pro Auto-Disc Measure is less than $40, not a lot of money to give it a try...

Thanks a lot, clicked on the link, they have the Classic Turret press on sale, too. I could go broke on that site ;)

I use a small amount of powdered graphite on the sliding surfaces with my pro autodisk. You can get it at O'Reilly's auto parts. Put a glove on and with your index finger slide it around on the contact surfaces. It doesn't take much.

I’d say I have a few Lee Autodisc….

The cylindrical, red powder hoppers work better than the clear box type in the picture. If powder is not too fine, the clear box hoppers works fine, but sometimes I sanded the bottom to remove any molding flash or too ensure a true flat surface.

The disks work well for me, but of course one has to settle for the aperture size that yields the closest to the planned powder weight, probably +-.2 grains out of 5 or 4%.

When modifying discs i sand a rounded profile on the screw. Only takes a little bit of the screw protruding to change drops to my needs.

Be careful when drilling by hand. After bit starts it will suck in fast.

I have both the older style and 10yr old style disc systems and have found if staying with the single disc they are close enough for me, I've tried the double disc system for rifle and was not impressed so I use the Lee PPM and found it very accurate, mine leak a little but their not unacceptable.

With $1 mod, you can make your disks infinitely adjustable - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/working-diy-micro-auto-disk.741988/

Dang that is a good idea. I have used the discs on and off for many years and often resort to my RCBS Uniflow or an old Lyman drum measure when looking for precise measures. I've found the Lee adjustable disc can throw significantly low measures depending on the powder in use. Believe down the road I'll try that on the Auto Disc.
