send it back on “your” dime. That’s LeenMy auto drum works with W296. Seriously. No leakage.
You probably have a bad drum or possibly even a bad casting on the housing. Call Lee and send it back for repair/replacement.

I understand but you started out and repeated saying or at least implying you were looking for something to mount on your turret press. If that’s no longer your goal then the sky’s the limit, the world’s your oyster, get a catalog and pick anything good.Just looking at various options - whether it be fixing what I have, or a better method. I looked into the dippers today. It's a possibility.
I really cleaned mine out today. Still leaking like crazy.
I wonder if the O-ring is missing if leaking that badly. Look at the screw-in cap. Order a set of drums so that you get the latest in the finish on the face of the drums. It is an improvement for fine powders.Just looking at various options - whether it be fixing what I have, or a better method. I looked into the dippers today. It's a possibility.

I agree it needs to go back to Lee, apparently some work and some don't.
No reason why they can't make yours work or replace it.
I think the mini auto disk works better for charges like yours, around 3 grains.I did send one of the two back that I bought. Still wasn't accurate when it came back. Both of them leaked. Bought extra drums, no help. I think you're right about hit or miss. Glad they work for some of you folks.

W296/H110 is a finer spherical powder than I have successfully used with the auto drum.
So, the products you all are mentioning seem to be stand alone products. Am I stuck with Lee if I want to be able to attach to the press?

When you say “attach to press” do you mean operate with the press or would you be ok with manually cycling the measure?
There are a number of ways to utilize other measures, including mounted/case activated, the price just goes up.
An adapter could be machined for probably any measure or you could just make a bracket and use two 7/8-14 nuts on either side to anchor the measure to. Holding it over the hole the powder is going down.
As @sparkyv points out the uniflow is a good one for H110/W296.

With all my concerns and questions about this, I could probably start 5 different posts. I’m trying to make my life easier . I think this thread is going fine.I understand but you started out and repeated saying or at least implying you were looking for something to mount on your turret press. Good luck
That’s why I was thinking about the electric table top dispensers. And I know I could use a dipper set, but that seems overly slow.
I appreciate this advise. At risk of exposing my ignorance and lack of creativity, I just don't follow. A lot of people here have given me some thoughtful opinions, but I often have no idea how to do what they are saying. I am pretty simple. I need to know which linkages/springs I need and how to attach it. So, you're saying that I can buy another brand of a case activated measure and I will also have to buy a new expander die? And I will have to buy additional springs and linkages? That said, all you need is another measure Hornady, RCBS or a Dillon with a retrograde linkage and springs would do it. You will also loose the Lee powder through expander and use the one compatible with the measure you go with.
So you would get rid of everything at that station and replace it with one of the others. This has a bushing on it but remove it and the 7/8-14 threads will go right in your Lee.
