Seen a neat mod on youtube this morning. Maybe common but i thought i would mention it.
Simple mod, a guy was using a lee autoprime with the large primer tray to hold 223 brass for trimming. The large primer rod held the 223 shell in place while trimming and the way he was saying the rod may go into the primer pocket a few thousands but not worth worrying about. He had a lee trimmer and gauge chucked in a drill. He of course had cut the large primer tray itself off with a dremel to make a cleaner look.
I tried it with some 357 brass and the brass is held nice and tight. Way easier than the thumb screw. The primer rod seemed to go into the primer pocket too much though and thus wouldn't trim to the specified depth. I thought about filing the end of the gauge a little until i could get the correct depth but thought i would run it by here first for thoughts.
