I searched and didn't come up with anything really.

I am looking into buying a .22 suppressor. I have several .22 pistols & rifles. Some are not threaded. Is it legal to get an old barrel threaded under today's laws to accomodate said can? Seems like you could after the 2004 ban was lifted, but I'm just not sure.

Thanks in advance!

Threading the end of a barrel of any kind or age isn't illegal in itself. People are known to screw on all manner of legal muzzle attachments. But if you have an unlicensed suppressor that fits that thread you are in big trouble. If the suppressor is papered no one will care about the barrel. Do keep in mind that it might attract some attention that you might like to do without. :uhoh:
