TrapperReady,
Thank you, I just sent PM. Looking forward to it. How To/Instructional books are about the only thing I like to read.
I appreciate it.

TrapperReady,
I received "If It Ain't Broke, Fix It" today. OK, I have to admit I didn't fully get the title until I saw the cover. Duh.
Thanks,
WNTFW

Great! The first time I read through it, I didn't think much of it... mostly because they seem very wedded to their particular system. I shoot a variety of methods, depending upon the target, and thought that I'd have to be using their system to get much benefit.

However, after a closer second read, I pulled some specific tips and tried incorporating them into my shooting. I've been mostly hunting for a couple months now, but a little before our winter sporting clays league starts up, my wife and I are going to spend some time practicing the flashlights drills they outline in the book.

Right off the bat the book makes sense on some vision issues. I was into racing where vision is a big thing.

I was just thinking about seeing if my mag lite would fit in the modified 12ga. I hadn't read that part yet, but did look at the pics!!

Years ago, the 1st time I shot on a real skeet range I shot 16 out 25. My biggest problem was the clay coming out the house at full speed. It was not like hunting to me. After a few rounds I hit 23 out of 25. After getting into rifles & not shooting a shotgun for many years my ability has diminished. My brother & I went on Saturday. I was so bad I didn't even keep track. 8 would be generous. My swing was not a swing. I felt so stiff. I did better on doubles than singles. My brother predicts in 2 weeks I'll be out shooting some guys there. I'm like no way. Definitely not the 10 yr. old kid with the 20ga O/U. This book has already help me identify about 6 items to work on, without firing a shot or leaving the house.
Thanks,
WNTFW

I think HornsKieth is next for the video. Please PM me your address and it will go out Thursday. I would like to thank Lee and Dave for getting this going. I will try to return the favor and add a couple of videos in the near future.

I received the Awerbuck video today. I'll watch it in the next few days and get it moving right along mid-week. Thanks for offering us this chance. :)

The Art and the Science- Brister

Is now available.

My son is seriously upset I knocked the sights off our BB gun,,,

So, Who's next?

The Awerbuck video shipped out to Glockamolie yesterday. It was good that my wife wasn't home, as the sight of me continually loading and unloading my 870 with Snap Caps would have been kinda strange. :)

I'll probably get the Awerbuck video tomorrow or Tuesday, and can send it back out by the end of the week. Who's next? :)

Brister Shotgunning Book

I've exhanged messages with SecuritySixShooter, I'm next to receive it. Looking forward to some -good-reading.

I have "If it ain't broke"

I'll send it to dmarbell if you pm your address to me. Unless SteamDragon is sending you a different copy.

I thought the book had some good info in it. There are techniques in it that I feel have helped my rifle & hand gun shooting. I Haven't shotgunned since reading. I can point an AR15 closer to target point of aim using some of the technique. I have actively been paying attention to the way my eyes work.
The 2nd half of the book is not as interesting if you don't shoot sporting clays. It still has info that I can use in other situations.

Thanks,
WNTFW

Gettin' in line ...
