Left = Oak with golden oak stain.
Right is walking stick from Crepe Myrtle.
No power tools used - only a leatherman, and Spyderco Native.

I was making canes several years ago but got too busy with grandkids since. Here are a few.

Thanks for the compliment. I collected canes for some years, but none were unique enough so I decided to make my own. I hope to restart next month. The first projects will be: an eastern diamond back rattle snake using wood stain for the scales on a Florida holly curved stick, a Darth Vader cane with a Darth Vader head and the cane shaft his light saber, a homage to the Apollo moon missions with a carved command module top and the mission patches down the length of the cane. I do cheat by using a Dremel and belt sanders, but it is the only way to get the detail needed in a short amount of time, one week or less per cane. I wish my pictures were better. For the wolf/dog cane I found a way to make the wood look like real fur, but none of the pictures capture it.

Sounds like you need a two ball cane.
