Let's see carbines in pistol cartridges.

My 77/44 remains a strong favourite. I would easily get rid of my ARs' before getting rid of this one.

American ingenuity. Awesome

Threading a stub isn't something I came up with, I have seen a number of folks do it with single shots. Like this one.

The Carcano already had the right bolt head but I have no idea what threads they used, for the receiver and barrel. Not standard or metric, some odd ball, figured that was away around having to duplicate them, just use the original ones.

Here's one of my pairs....

Ruger's Flat Top .41 Magnum Blackhawk & Marlin's 1894S in that candidate for best of all revolver cartridges: the .41 Magnum.

The Marlin has been upgraded with a Williams Fool Proof receiver peep, and a saddle ring to replace the (useless on a lever gun), 'safety'.

A well seasoned block of rosewood in my cutoff bin, supplied the makin's for the grips on the Ruger.
Best regards, Rod
