Let's see what you have for targets.

A lot of nice ideas and great set ups.

I dont have a whole lot of room so I've got basic swingers. Plates are AR500 and are mainly used for pistols 25yds or less. Golf ball is mainly used for plinking with the .22's from the back porch, which is the max of my "range" at about 50yds.

Some other old ones.

This one is. To be used hidden behind a barricade. Gives you limited exposure but can be adjusted

A running man setup I built. Can be set up with a number of different activators and can be set up to just run to one side or the other or go one way then return. Also has multiple speeds.

Have also used it as a moving shooting port.

Am assortment of other targets I have made, pop up, turners, droop turn, single and double swingers. Adjustable for delay / swing rate.

This is one of the old plate racks driving a pin wheel (right side) while it resets the targets.

I picked up some discarded steel plate used for holding railroad rails to the ties. There is a main line and small switch yard behind my house. R R tore up some track and left them lying on the ground. Maybe 8x10 inch rectangle with 8 square holes for spikes.

I've already left some on a bench at the range

One I haven’t used in a while is one we used for ranges where you might not be able to tell if a hit was made.

It broke down for transport, uses EMT for the legs, a 12” AR 500 plate. The arm for the “flasher” is adjusted so at rest the red rear plate is blocked by the black one in the front. When hit it swings back and visual confirmation is easy.

Was asked about the reset mechanism on the plate racks in #29.

They are powdered by 12v dc the 7.5 amp hour deer feeder ones do the job just fine.

Behind the last plate to the right on both there is a momentary push button switch. When the plate falls it makes the switch contacts close. It’s important that the switch not limit the motion of the arm/plate because they are not strong enough for that so you need some other positive stop as well.

The reset arm is activated by an arm mounted to a gear in the far one and a Chevy flexplate in the near one.

They stop at the bottom because the post on both opened the switch at the bottom that is normally closed, killing the power to the automotive power window motor. So it sits there until the momentary switch up top is depressed driving the wheel off the switch and it powers the motor for one more revolution.
