Leupold M8?

I have a Leupold fixed 12x 40mm with AO. The SN indicates a DOB of 2004. Friction adjustments at apparently 1/2' MOA. No box.

It is not marked M8 (or any other markings designating the model). I remember having an old 4x from the late 60's that was marked M8.

We all M8 scopes marked as such.....or were some not marked?

About 15 years ago the fixed power Leupold M8 line of scopes were re-designated as the FX1(rimfire), FX2 and FX3 lines. Your scope became the FX3 12x40. i have one on my .22 Cheetah varmint rifle.
