Leupold Mark AR Mod 1

Hi, does anyone use the Mark AR Mod 1 on platforms other than the AR? How about heavier calibers than a .223 such as .308 and .30-06? The reason I ask is because I like the Mark AR Mod 1 and if it will work on larger bore rifles, I may upgrade my current deer rifles with these scopes, especially since Primary Arms has them on sale for $260 + $50 rebate ($210 total) for the 3-9x40 Mil Dot variant. Also, what are the P5 dials?
