Hey looking at getting this scope for my AR just wanted to know if anybody has got a chance to fool around with them yet or has any input on this optic. If the quality is up to spec with the rest of the leupold products it seems like a really neat scope at a pretty fair price. Lets hear some opinions

Thanks

It looks like an overpriced VX-II with target turrets like the Mark 2's. I would save up a bit for the Mark 4 MRT if you were wanting to go for a mid range Leupold tactical scope. The lower "Mark" lines are just there to get that person who can't afford a mark 4 to stick with a Leupold, there are better options out there (IMO) like the Zeiss Conquests, Nikon Monarch, Bushnell, Sightron etc.

I guess I really just like the idea of the bdc dial calibrated to .223. Is it valuable and/or practical?

Well like I suggested take a look at the Mark 4 MRT line as they are calibrated for .223 also and they are built on the VX-III unlike the watered down Mark 2 and Mark AR. But honestly the Leupold custom shop can calibrate the BDC for most rounds.

Did not know that. Thank you very much for the info, looks like I might rethink it. haha
