I understand why "Henry" cannot easily make a steel or even a billet forged aluminum receiver as those materials do not lend themselves to the existing process they use for casting/mold injecting Zamak. But brass could be formed and processed much like the Zamak is. If the "Golden Boy" had a real brass receiver I would buy one today or as soon as it landed on a shelf. Clearly Henry has the capability to make a brass receiver.
The problem is they have trapped themselves. Most of their customers have no idea they are buying a pot metal rifle and introducing one that is not Zamak and making a big deal over it could PO some who did not previously know the difference but then would.
