If these are dumb questions, I apologize... I'm asking for a friend, and don't have any experience with these cartridges or firearms.

He is soon getting a .454 revolver, and would like a lever action carbine to go with it in the same cartridge. Are there any good lever actions out there in .454? I know there is stuff in .45LC. Could a .45LC lever action run .454 cassul? Thanks.

Thanks...

Does anyone know if .454 can be fired through a .45 Long Colt?

Probably a stupid question, but I've never even seen pictures of any of these cartridges.

No. The .454 is a much longer and VERY much higher-pressure cartridge, and can't be fired in a .45 Colt firearm. However, the shorter, lower-pressure .45 Colt can be fired in a .454 Casull firearm.

"...Does anyone know if .454 can be fired through a .45 Long Colt?..." Absolutely not. The case won't fit and you'll notice the pressures are decidedly different. If you could get a .454 into a .45 Colt, it'd blow the gun into wee bits.
