Win 94 AE, Oklahoma Cowboy Hall of Fame edition. It shoots great, but the factory rear won't quite adjust low enough to zero. I will probably go with a Williams FP rear aperture sight for it.

Here is the newest addition to the safe, although it will see some hard use as my new walk around gun assuming it shoots. 1980 manufacture, got it on GB, promptly mounted a williams peep. Really happy with it so far, Saturday it sees some rounds down the tube.

I'm pretty disappointed in the quality of my new camera's pictures, but here they are: 1895G 45-70 made in 1981 and 1967 39A Golden Mountie. Both were my grandfathers. The .22 is 10x nicer than the picture shows, with a glossy high grade stock. Several people have offered to buy it from me. Nope. This gun will be in my family until it turns to dust.

Your problem is more one of lighting than of the camera. In your picture the light is coming from the left, leaving bright spots on the butt stocks and leaving the forearms dark. Try setting up with two lights, one from each end.

Your position also accentuates foreshortening -- making the butt stocks appear larger than they are. Move a foot to the right and you'll get a more proportionate picture.

All clones except 3rd from left and far right. The straight razor is also a real Winchester, but Anson Mills buckle is probably a fake.

Latest takedown 1895 (Japchester)

BestTeddyedid_zpsb54e110a.gif
The Japchester assembled--going on Safari with Teddy. Ok, it's a 30-06 and not a .405, but and I wanted a caliber that I could actually afford to shoot.

Cheers

My small lever collection as of now. Have a jm stamped 1894 on the way, and have plans for a BLR takedown as well.

I own a meager collection of rifles stretching from my first Ted Williams lever single shot .22 to the Colt 6920 I bought a little over a year ago. In the pile are 5 levers and I am looking to add a 45-70 next... just because.

IMHO this is the bestest durn pic thread on THR.

A surprise was the wood that was covered by the Rossi red stain, the tang sight is a Marbles, with an ivory bead front, it's 45 Colt caliber.

Dagger dog Great wood on that Rossi. Mystery jungle wood?
Badlander,

Yeah, dunno what it is, but it's pretty, that's about 8 Tru-Oil coats over Min-Wax walnut stain, buffed with 0000 wool between coats, finished off with paste wax.

What do they call that pattern fiddleback ?

Eagle them 1894's are beautiful that right there is part of why the used market is so high on them

here is another picture of my 38-40 winchester 1892 made in 1914, its a half round half oct. barrel takedown rifle. along with a picture of my just picked up 38-40 colt bisley made in 1902 to make a combo. i am on the hunt for a colt 44-40 to go with a winchester model 53 in 44-40. eastbank.

Well, I've got 2 at present, both Win saddle rings - Mod 92 in 38/40 and Mod 94 in 30/30.
At some point in the future I'll add either a Win 9422 or a Henry in 22 Mag.

Yeah, some of these guys are trying to give the rest of us an inferiority complex. I've only got a 94 Winchester in .30-30, a Savage 99 in .308, and a Winchester 9422 -- now in my oldest daughter's possession, and I'll never get it back.

bushmaster 1313

Love that Winchester and that Weaver scope. I put a K2.5 on my Ruger 10/22 many years ago and it's been the perfect set-up on that rifle.
