Eric was probably still running his guiding business when these episodes were filmed. No way to do a topnotch job of guiding with film crews around.

Eric and Martha are most likely busy at that timma year, full tilt. Sept is a Hunting kinda month in AK.

Its hard enough to hunt with 4 inches of lenses along, least of all 3 or 4 people in tow....oh, man....

Silencers are legal in Alaska, are legal to hunt with and an LEO, by Law, MUST sign off if the applicant meets the legal criteria. 200$ ATF tax stamp, + the cost of the can and there ya go.

Still cant use a full auto to hunt with, I'm sure.

Back in the 90's when I was interested in such, it wasnt allowed on the Hunt, but the good Class2 and 3 of AK got alot of practical things legal here :D Anyone who's legal to own a pistol can carry concealed, no licensing at all, if you like, most anywhere in AK

You are funny- Vito- but looks aren't everything- Actually it is in the memory of my Real-player Cloud account.Tape is just a figure of speech brother:evil:

Caribou: Thanks for the update and your photos. Am simply awe struck at your and Agnes' family unit, but especially at Agnes. Is there nothing Agnes cannot do, learn or teach? Your girls will never want for anything in basic life necessities. They are incredibly lucky.

Would rather watch extended segments of Hailstones/Bassich/KavikSue than seeing Glenn. Can't wait for Erik's return. In all, simply glad to see LBZ back.

One little issue, which I realize no one here can do anything about, I'm just venting: the ads for LBZ are extremely creepy. The ads do not convey the spirit of the show. IMO, a very bad choice.

I have to

Sorry for all [ 2 ] of Sue's fans but I am bored beyond the 'mute' button [ yes its a life saver ] of listening to her go on,and on,and on,and on = about her woes and her "hunting ability".

Saw her shooting at game and she misses too much to call it hunting :fire: [ yes, they actually TRY to make her look good :banghead:].

And of all the familys and loners on LBZ,she is the only one that has shelter, heat, radio, electric, most of the comforts we take as daily items.

She does not LIVE in anywhere near the hardship Alaska that ALL the others do.

I wish they could find a woman who actually lives as do the rest of them on LBZ.

Her "hardship" is if she runs out of gasoline for all her heating and driving tools.

And last show had the overhead shot of a plane,MULTILPE vehicles and lots of structures AND people around her.

Sorry but she does not belong on this show = ok,now y'all can tell me I am wrong.

But I see it differently.

Thank the good Lord for the mute button ,spares me her droning on and on about herself.

Chip, watched the last episode and thought it was great but I have to say that I saw one thing that you need to check on. While you, your wife and daughters were hunting caribou, one of your daughters was complaining about her ears hurting/ringing.

I know you were only shooting .22's but they can cause hearing loss. From watching the show I know you look out for all of them but sometimes things can happen. The next time you might want to do a double check.

Being a shooter of BIG bore rifles, I wear plugs and muffs and make everyone else shooting with me do the same. One round from the .50 can cause permanent hearing loss and that would really suck.

Please be careful brother!!!

That was the pistol, 50 shooter a .22mag Ruger single six.

Indeed, it was noted then and the pistol put away as a back up. I dont think the girl was expecting it, either, but thats what happens now and then.
We have steel spinners and earmuffs for .22's at the shooting table, but hunting can be alotta veriables. In winter we have skimasks and beaver caps tied about our heads and the crack of a high powerd rifle is just a chug, it's Summer where we really notice. When theres time and some are available, we use earplugs.

Well I guess I am fan #3 for Sue. Her ramblings get a bit repetitive, but I still admire the gumption of anyone living alone for most of the year right at the top of the world. She may not be the most skilled hunter, but I guess she does well enough to eat through the winter months. What I never fully understood is why with all the metal buildings she rents out, why she lives in a fabric covered home that would be like tissue paper for predators to cut through with their claws.

I've enjoyed this show since it went on the air, even though my wife always comments with "Haven't we already seen this episode?" since it all seems the same to her, over and over. And I'll admit that for me it is strictly vicarious fun since I would never, even when I was young, consider living the way any of the show's cast live. I would have enjoyed a week or two learning how to run a dog sled team, but that's about it.

Yep, great

program. Not for the namby-pamby, anti-firearms, anti-hunting, PETA and ASPCA members and most city folks. This program tells it like it is.

This has been fascinating, but we're far afield of the firearms content and it would be better if Caribou and other interested parties would open individual threads in the appropriate forums (Rifle, Shotgun, Hunting) rather than keeping this open.
