Oh Hi Oh
Grrrr...Just bought a BRAND NEW S&W 386 SC/S. Nice revolver but 3 or 4 rounds per cylinder of 7 suffers a light strike. Some ignite when I try them again. Most don't. All of the "duds" fire in my other revos so it's not the ammo or hard primers. This happens with White Box, Remmington, and my handloads. The crane screw is good and tight. I suppose it needs to go back to S&W but wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue with this model.

Thanks

You checked the strain screw on the front of the grip frame. Try cutting a thin piece of aluminum can and placing it between the strain screw and the leaf spring. If that works the strain screw is too short, if not then call S&W 1 800 331 0852 you might have a firing pin that is too short.
