The only sub-four pound rifle I know of is the Marlin 70pss, a 22LR takedown. Do you know of any other current rifles that weight less than 4 lbs?

I'm wondering what and older single shot .22 would weigh with some sliming of the stock . The thought of a Stevens 15 just poped into my head. Essex

Henry US SURVIVAL rifle. 2 3/4 lbs. Breaks down & stores into its own stock. Also floats. Prity cool. $200 ish. Can get in silver, flat black, or cammo.

How about my Stevens #26 Crackshot? Made around 1915, it doesn,t even have a receiver -- the barrel simply lies in a groove in the frame, and is held down with a thumbscrew.

It's a bit on the specialty side of things as a take down survival rifle but I'm sure the AR-7 would fit the bill. Henry sells them presently.

Sorry Coyote, I missed your post until I reread the thread. What you said!
