Limited Edition Para Ordnance 1911

Hey folks,

I am on the market for a 1911 and saw a nice (at least it looks that way) 1911 from Para Ordinance. Bud's has a good price on (http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/411534645) it and Bass Pro did have a nice price on it too. What's the opinion on the Paras generally and this specific model: CX745RCB?

Don't have much experience with Para in general and none with that pistol. Its a Commander size with a coyote brown finish. The ad says its 35 oz but I think the "R" in the part # means its an alloy frame at 28 oz. Should make a nice CC piece, and the price is good. How much was Bass Pro selling it for?

I do have a new Para 5" SS single stack that I have about 350 trouble free rounds through. Very pleased so far.

para's codes are confusing. iv been told the R means restricted for highcaps. i dont know what it means for the single stacks. the last letters are normaly the finish. i know mines Midnight Blue

How much was Bass Pro selling it for?

Do not remember the exact amount but was 600+change (low 600's). I remember thinking: "Wow, what a great price for stainless steel 1911." Then I saw it on Bud's too. I read a bit on the 1911 forum about the LTC line of Para's and the feedback on the LTCs is very positive. Somehow this brand does not get enough recognition on this board, I wonder why?!
