Little comparison!

Just a couple pictures comparing the Smith 36 and Charter Arms .44 Bulldog. Never realized how close in size these 2 pocket rockets were!

As someone who doesn’t do the .38/.357s or the .44s it is very interesting to me that some 5 shot snubbies in each can be so close in size.

When something works, it doesn't really pay to reinvent the wheel. My question is since I have no experience with C.A., is the grip angle as differ from the S&W as it looks in the pics from both posts?

With boot grips, the angle and feel is very similar. The recoil from the .44 special is a little more, but not as much as you would expect, particularly if you compare it to a heavier, +p .38 load.

I wonder if that airweight kicks as much as the 44. I have the airweight and it kicks more than my 686+ with 3"barrel

The "large frame" Charters are closer to an SP101; between J and K frame.

They are quite light as well. The .44 isn't bad at all with cowboy ammo, but load up sone spicy meatballs like 240 grainers doing 950 FPS, they smart a bit in the palm.

5 rounds of these 200 x 975s stung heavily for a while after I shot them. Trigger finger as well.
