Hi fellows, I'm new to this forum and may not be doing this correctly, if so let me know. I've recently purchased a Llama 7.65 mm Pistol Looks like a mini 1911 A1. I know there are a lot of folks that don't think too much of quality of these pistols, but the gun fits my hand and has good balance for me.

My question is this, when the firearm is in the half cock position I can pull through what I think should or would be the sear. This pistol has a grip safety just like the 1911 and when the actual safety is on you can't pull through the trigger. Is this normal operation or is wear indicated?

If it has a half-cock notch on the hammer, you should not be able to pull the trigger and get the hammer to drop.

But regardless of that, if it runs true to form with a 1911, that is NOT a safety notch anyway.

It's there to catch the hammer if your thumb slips during cocking or uncocking.

A 1911 is safer with the hammer Cocked & Locked.
Or hammer down all the way against the slide.

You need to determine if your Llama has an inertia firing pin like a 1911.
If so, it is too short to reach a primer with the hammer all the way down.
