Maybe I am a sucker for 45 auto's styled after a 1911. dropped by a pawn shop after work and found a llama max-1 in the matt park finish. It came with a nice leather holster, two mag carrier and 3 mags. two chip mccormic 8 round stainless with base buffer and a colt 7 round mag. Gun seems really nice but will find out I guess. For $200 I guess I can give it a try?
I have 7 colts and a sistema so I guess I can use a few extra mags anyway if it does not work out.

I've not had good luck W/ Llama products, some have.

Over all from my experience W/ them & what I've read here they seem to be somewhat spotty in regard to QC. Customer service is non existant as the company is out of business although the importer has been pleasant enough to deal W/ the one time I've had cause to contact them.

There have been reports of soft or inferior quality metal

I personally would pass on any Llama I had an opportunity to buy, but I hope you have good luck W/ your's

I have an old IIIa that is a fantastic little gun (.380, 3/4 scale 1911). Had two duo-tone MAX-I's until recently, both performed well. OTOH, I had a newer micro-max .380 that, while it fed and fired fine, would fail to lock back, as the soft metal of the slide and the lock ate each other.

For $200 with holster and three mags, you're doing alright. I sold mine as a pair for $460 in Sept.; Had to pay for this:

You did okay...My 1st Llama was under similar conditions/price at a local pawn shop. Shoot the crap out of it and you'll get your money's worth and re-sell if you get tired of it...Good shooting...:)
